multiPLAY Project Artists Feature in the Global Improvisation Festival
multiPLAY partnered with the Improvisation Festival (IF) to stream our experiments with the mutiPLAY collective (Campbell, Pridmore, Gao, Adams, Altman, Bliss) as we try jamming from a distance, as well as a creative time lapse interview with artist John Campbell in his studio as he creates his kinetic sculptures. multiPLAY joined 150 artists on August 8, 2020, from allover the world, all sharing our improvising activities during the lockdown/pandemic. The festival streamed 24 hours of improvised practice. We shared our digital work with over 2500 audience members from allover the globe. Thanks to International Institute of Critical Studies in Improvisation and the University of Guelph for the wonderful invitation and a chance to share our work with new audiences.
